Summary
Cruise Stockholm is an app developed by Stockholms Hamnar that displays publicly available cruise ship information for the ports of Stockholm and Nynäshamn.
We do not use the app to create user profiles, track users for advertising purposes, or collect personal information beyond what is technically necessary to operate the service. Limited technical data, including IP addresses, may be processed automatically through standard server operations and third-party infrastructure services as described in this policy.
This policy is intended to comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY) is the supervisory authority in Sweden for data protection matters.
What we collect
The app does not use tracking, analytics, advertising SDKs, or third-party crash reporting libraries.
Crash diagnostics may still be collected directly by Apple or Google through their respective operating systems and app distribution platforms if the user has enabled diagnostic sharing on their device.
Our servers use Microsoft Azure Application Insights for operational monitoring, performance diagnostics, and security purposes. In addition, standard server logs may be generated by our hosting infrastructure. These may include technical request data, including IP addresses.
For more information about Microsoft Azure Application Insights, refer to Microsoft’s privacy information: https://www.microsoft.com/privacy
What we store on your device
Port data
Port and schedule data is temporarily cached within the app to improve performance and reduce network requests. This data is automatically refreshed or discarded after a short period (up to 10 minutes).
Ship images
Ship images may be cached on your device using the app’s image handling system. This cache is stored on disk and managed automatically by the operating system. Cached images may be removed by the system or when the app is uninstalled.
External services
When you use the app, your device interacts with the following services:
Ports of Stockholm
Ship schedules, vessel information, curated visitor links, and vessel images are retrieved from Ports of Stockholm servers.
Our servers receive your device’s IP address as part of standard HTTP communication. Technical logs are processed for operational, diagnostic, and security purposes and are not used for advertising or user profiling.
Google Maps Static API
When viewing a port’s location, a static map image is loaded from Google’s servers.
As part of this request, Google receives the port coordinates and your device’s IP address for delivery of the map image. We do not control Google’s data processing practices.
For more information, refer to Google’s privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy
Map applications
If you choose to open a ship location in a map application, the ship coordinates are passed to your selected map app. If no compatible map app is installed, a Google Maps link may open in your web browser instead.
We do not track or store this interaction.
Age restriction
This app is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
Your data rights
We do not maintain user accounts or personal profiles within the app.
If you have questions regarding technical log processing or your rights under applicable data protection laws, you may contact us using the details below.
You may also clear locally cached app data at any time through your device settings. Uninstalling the app removes locally stored app data.
Policy updates
If this policy changes, the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page will be revised accordingly.
We encourage users to review this policy periodically.
