Published 2012-06-01
Stena Line is taking over operation of Scandlines sailings between Nynäshamn and Ventspils.
"We welcome Stena Line to Ports of Stockholm and look forward to a long and successful relationship," says Henrik Widerståhl, Director of Marketing at Ports of Stockholm.

Stena Line is taking over the operation of a total of five ferry routes between Sweden, Germany and Latvia. Services sailing between Travemünde–Ventspils, Travemünde–Liepaja and Nynäshamn–Ventspils are being acquired from Scandlines GmbH.

Stena Line will also acquire the vessels of Scandlines GmbH and the operation of Trelleborg–Sassnitz and Trelleborg–Rostock services, resulting in Stena Line acquiring sole ownership. The acquisition is part of the Stena Line strategy to expand into growing markets.
